Những khái niệm cơ bản về y tế công cộng (Essential concepts of public health)

Y Tế Công Cộng (YTCC) đối với chúng ta thực sự là một thuật ngữ mới. Nhiều người đã từng đặt câu hỏi YTCC khác gì so với Y Tế Cộng Đồng (YTCĐ), với Y Học Dự Phòng (YHDP), với Vệ Sinh-Dịch Tễ (VSDT), và gần đây một số trường đại học YTCC trên thế giới lại đổi lại tên thành Sức khỏe Quần thể (Population Health). Để bạn đọc hiểu hơn về những thuật ngữ này và những kế hoạch phát triển hệ thống ngành học mới mẻ này chúng tôi xin trân trọng giới thiệu với các bạn một số khái niệm rất cơ bản về lý luận và thực tiễn sau. Chắc chắn những khái niệm này chưa thể phản ánh được đầy đủ những nội dung của một ngành học mà các nước bắt đầu khởi xướng ra đã phải trải qua một chặng đường hơn một thế kỷ để phát triển nó.
English abstract
Public Health (PH) is a new term for many of us. Many people have raised a question: What is the difference between Public Health and Community Health (CH), Preventive Medicine (PM), Hygiene & Epidemiology (HE)? Recently, some schools of PH in the world have changed their names to Population Health. In order to help readers have better understanding about these terms and plans for developing of the new discipline, we would like to introduce you some essential concepts on the theory and practice below. Surely, these concepts do not reflect full contents of a discipline which the pioneering countries have gone through for over a century to take the initiatives for its development.
